Glycyrrhiza glabra, a plant that is very commonly called licorice, has a long history of being utilized as a home remedy for acid reflux and it’s symptoms.
Does you heart ache?
Discomfort in the chest area as well as the esophagus may be caused by stomach acid being released back up into the esophagus, especially after large meals or acidic foods.
Licorice increases the mucous production and by doing so the irritated tissues of the esophagus may be soothed and protected and more relief gained. Therefore licorice may help people who suffer from acid reflux by decreasing the burning and uncomfortable sensation that many experience because of acid reflux and it’s symptoms.
